Meditation sounds hard, because it is. I’m not telling you that to put you off, I’m telling you that so you don’t think you’re the only one who finds it hard to settle into. There are two very helpful things I’ve learned about it though, 1. The Dalai Lama says even one minute of meditation a day is beneficial, and 2. guided meditation is not cheating. It’s a really useful tool to help you get into the habit and like anything else, the more you practice, the better you get.

Here are some one-minute meditations for you to try. I meditate in the car before work, because it’s the quietest time of my day and I know I won’t be interrupted. I’ll keep adding to these and they'll gradually get longer and longer. I’ll add some in a male voice too, in case that feels more relaxing for you.  Don’t give up!
