They also run a bunch of other little Special Projects, all with the focus of helping asylum seekers feel welcome, comfortable and empowered in their Australian neighborhood and home.
These guys are 100% volunteer-run and not-for-profit. Everyone from the president to the delivery drivers, donates their time to help this charity - out of passion and wanting to help make a difference in the lives of our Asylum Seeker community.
The main need for support at the moment is cash donations for their warehouse fund, to help pay the rent of the warehouse which stores donations, which is a vital part of operations. Prior to having a warehouse, volunteers would store donations in their very own homes, which is just unsustainable and a logistical nightmare. The central warehouse allows these guys to work more efficiently, which means more Asylum Seekers families can be taken care of.
There are also ways to donate goods and food hampers - so head to their website for more details, and to lend a hand.
